Lately I have been dreading my teaching schedule. I have been teaching kindergarten from 10AM - noon then i have a two and a half hour break until i teach the rest of the munchkins from 2:30PM - 8:40PM. They are long days for sure. Really gives "living for the weekend" a new meaning in my life. Other than that I have really been enjoying my time here. Especially because I have had really awesome things happening and to look forward to.......
On the first weekend of the month, it was my friend, Greg's birthday. Good friends + good environment = good times. enough said. here are some pictures from our silliness....

My buddy Jamie came out and visited me for the first 10 days of April, and we had a BLAST and a half! Unfortunately, I had to teach during the days, but at night and on the weekend we got a little wild. Here are a ton of pictures from his stay over here...

I took this picture with one of my favorite students. His English name is Chris. He loves soccer and ever since I started teaching him back in August and he found out I am a Liverpool FC fan, he has been one too. He is a really smart kid and his English is just awesome. He was calling everyone there name + stiano Ronaldo to make them have a silly name like the soccer player Christian Ronaldo. And he always says the word "namsae", which means "smelly" in Korean. So naturally, I started calling him "Smellnaldo" and he LOVES it. writes that as his name on all his homeworks and everything. I had to take a picture with him in Liverpool FC shirts. |

Then this last weekend, from the 14th through the 16th of April, I went to Japan with a couple of my friends. We went to Fukuoka (which is in southern Japan kind of near Hiroshima). It was only a 40 minute flight away from Busan Gimhae airport. It was such an amazing trip. Let the pictures to the talking!

So we walking around looking for a restaurant, really hungry. We stumble upon a Japanese sword shop. So naturally, we had to go inside. This place was selling samuri swords that were upwards of 800-1000 years old. EPIC history. Some of the swords were over 7million Yen. ( about a $100,000) The shop owner didn't speak English but still let us hold one sword that costed a good $50,000. amazing. |
